UBER DELIVERING FREE MEALS
Uber has committed to providing 300,000 free meals to first responders. They announced in an update on their COVID-19 response that they “know that the work of medical and crisis response teams can be tireless, and the hours long.” And they want to do their part to help. ALLBIRDS OFFERING FREE SHOES
Sustainable shoe brand Allbirds announced in a tweet that they’re providing a free pair of shoes for every healthcare professional on the front lines fighting the virus. They hope a pair of their well-reviewed and comfortable wool runners can help show first responders how much their efforts are appreciated. HEADSPACE OFFERING FREE WELLNESS TOOLS
Headspace is an online wellness platform with guided exercises, videos, and other resources to help increase happiness and improve mental health. They’re offering free access to their meditation platform to all healthcare professionals in the US. This is a great resource to clear your head and avoid neglecting your own health while caring for others. You can redeem the offer on the Headspace website, using your National Provider Identifier (NPI) and email address.
SWEETGREEN DELIVERING FREE FOOD TO HOSPITALS
Sweetgreen is installing delivery outposts at various hospitals to deliver fresh salads and bowls. Outposts are essentially mobile refrigerators stocked with their healthy and fresh meals. Hospitals that take advantage of this offer can enjoy these meals for free, caring for themselves as they care for others. FIGS DONATING SCRUBS TO HOSPITALS IN NEED
FIGS, a popular scrubs brand, has announced plans to donate scrubs to hospitals in need. They plan to donate 30,000 in the next two months, focusing on hospitals hit hardest by the virus. FREE CEUS FOR ALL NURSES IN AMERICA

MEALS
- SweetGreen will deliver free salads and bowls to hospitals in the cities they serve: DC, Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston. To request free salads, please visit their site to order.
- GrubHub and DoorDash are now offering contact-free deliveries. Both companies have reduced or eliminated commission fees for local restaurants to support restaurants that are mandated to only have carry-out/delivery only service.
- Medical students at Washington University in St. Louis have volunteered to deliver supplies/meals and run errands on behalf of individuals in quarantine.
CHILDCARE AND PETCARE
- Medical students in Minnesota, St. Louis (Washington University in St. Louis), and Chicago (Northwestern University) are offering childcare and pet care services for physicians and care teams. To facilitate logistics, both students and families register for services and students volunteer for shifts. Students are then matched with families based on need and availability. Students have reported that the need is overwhelming, with some systems reporting more than 100 families signed up for childcare or pet care services.
INTELYCARE LAUNCHES FREE COVID-19 TRAINING FOR NURSES

Krispy Kreme giving free doughnuts to health care workers during COVID-19 pandemic. Krispy Kreme is joining the list of companies giving back to doctors, nurses and healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting March 30 on National Doctor's Day, any doctor, nurse or healthcare worker with an employee ID can pick up as many dozens of glazed doughnuts as they need from any Krispy Kreme drive-thru. According to a news release from the North Carolina-based doughnut chain, the free doughnut promotion will happen every Monday through National Nurses Week on May 6.
STARBUCKS FREE COFFEE
Starbucks giving free coffee to first responders, healthcare workers dealing with coronavirus. The coffee giant announced Wednesday that through May 3 "any customer who identifies as a first responder or frontline worker supporting our healthcare system" will receive a free tall brewed coffee, either hot or iced. The offer is for police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, hospital and medical staff and medical researchers, Starbucks said.
CROCS

Free McDonald’s coffee
On March 23, the McDonald’s CEO announced that many McDonald’s locations are offering free coffee to first responders and healthcare workers. Since McDonald’s is a franchise, and individual restaurants have different owners, check with your local Golden Arches. According to the CEO, McDonald’s is also offering free breakfasts and lunches to children now out of school and drive-thru meals to seniors who might need them.
A complimentary Circle K drink.
Any hospital workers, doctors, care facility workers, emergency medical services personnel, police officers, firefighters, or military personnel can grab a free coffee, tea, or Polar Pop soft drink at Circle K when they need a quick pick-me-up.
If you’re in New York City, drive safely with a free Hertz car rental.
The rental car company is providing healthcare workers free month-long car rentals until the end of April. With this generous support, healthcare workers can get a little social distancing outside of work. Which is a big deal right now, especially in a place that relies so heavily on public transportation. You’ll need a valid medical ID, email address with healthcare domain, and driver’s license.
Practice social distancing and have your Airbnb fee waived.
Airbnb is putting healthcare providers, relief workers, and first responders in clean, convenient places with no other people present. Airbnb is dedicated to ensuring the safety of healthcare workers and first responders, their families, and their patients.
