In this edition of our Behind the Scenes with Accountable series, we're excited to introduce Christopher R. Abeyta, our Operations Manager for the Nurse Staffing/Local Division. Christopher's main responsibility is to enhance and streamline the division's daily operations by creating and implementing standardized processes.

Christopher is approaching his 5th anniversary with Accountable in August. During his interview, he was drawn to the company, inspired by its values and mission. Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Christopher earned his BA in Science and Technology Training from the University of New Mexico. His career background is rich in the hospitality industry, having opened and operated numerous hotels in New Mexico. Before joining Accountable, he served as a local hotel management company's Corporate HR and Payroll Director.

Outside of work, Christopher enjoys spending time working with his hands, whether it's building things for his house or gardening. His passion for gardening and woodworking has led him to read extensively on these crafts, mastering the ins and outs of creating beautiful work and nurturing his garden.

Christopher's home life is just as busy and interesting. He and his husband have a variety of pets, including 8 chickens, a pet pigeon, a turtle, a gecko, a cat, and five dogs named Samson James, Stella James, Scarlett James, Salem James, and Saint James. This diverse menagerie adds a unique and lively dynamic to their household.

Books play a significant role in Christopher's life, especially self-help books and anything that offers new knowledge. When he's not reading, he enjoys classic movies like "The Great Outdoors," "Defending Your Life," "Pretty Woman," and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

At work, Christopher's favorite part is collaborating with his peers. He finds great satisfaction in creating new processes and systems to improve the division's day-to-day activities. His dedication to his job and passion for continuous improvement is evident in everything he does.

A quote that resonates deeply with Christopher and reflects his work ethic is from Steve Jobs: "The only way to do great work is to love what you do."
