Behind the Scenes with Accountable: Meet Jeannine Gioia
In this edition of Behind the Scenes with Accountable, we're excited to introduce Jeannine Gioia, the Credentialing/Compliance Coordinator for our Advanced Practice Division. With nearly eight years at Accountable Healthcare and over two decades in advanced practice credentialing, Jeannine exemplifies dedication and expertise.
A Longstanding Partnership
Jeannine's journey in credentialing began in 2003, working alongside Joyce Runner, Director of Advanced Practice, at another company. When Joyce established the Advanced Practice division at Accountable in 2014, Jeannine joined shortly after. Their professional partnership now spans an impressive 22 years, built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
Jeannine oversees practitioner onboarding and file compliance in her role, ensuring that all providers meet necessary standards from initial contact through full credentialing approval. She also manages facility applications and collaborates closely with credentialing teams at partner facilities, fostering long-standing relationships.
Reflecting on the evolution of credentialing, Jeannine notes that in 2003, "we could just send over a practitioner's license and certificate of insurance the night before the assignment." Today, the process can take 30 to 90 days, or even up to 120 days for some facilities. Despite these changes, Jeannine remains committed to representing Accountable, our recruiters, and our providers professionally, efficiently, friendly, and trustworthy.
Life Beyond Credentialing
Outside of work, Jeannine indulges her creative side through DIY projects, repurposing furniture, decorating, artwork, and various crafts. She's currently immersed in a "never-ending" kitchen renovation, reflecting her passion for hands-on projects.
Creative Pursuits & Holistic Practices
Jeannine's creativity extends to writing; she has had poetry published by the Library of Congress and received an Editor's Choice Award in a "social consciousness" contest. Her interest in holistic health led her to become a Certified Quantum-Touch practitioner, blending conventional healthcare with energy-based healing practices.
A-Pillar of the Advanced Practice Division
Jeannine's dedication, experience, and warmth make her an integral part of the Advanced Practice Division and the broader Accountable family. Her commitment to quality and meticulous approach to credentialing embody the values we uphold.
Thank you, Jeannine, for your unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions!
