Behind the Scenes with Accountable: Meet Natalie Howe
In this edition of Behind the Scenes with Accountable, we’re excited to introduce Natalie Howe, our Senior Credentialing and Operations Coordinator in the Schools Division. Natalie has been an integral part of the Accountable team for 8.5 years, dedicating herself to ensuring smooth credentialing processes and supporting her coworkers in every way possible.
Natalie’s role involves managing the unique credentialing for school division new hires, ensuring all licensure and credentials are up to date, fingerprints are cleared, client evaluations are completed, weekly reports, tracking birthdays, and sending gifts for special occasions. She’s also recently trained as a payroll backup and prides herself on stepping in wherever she’s needed.
Her journey to Accountable is a story of passion and personal connection. Natalie was drawn to the company for its close-knit environment and the opportunity to bring the credentialing process in-house, fostering a stronger sense of teamwork. With a degree in history and urban planning, Natalie’s professional background includes roles as a Credentials Verification Analyst and Quality Assurance Analyst at the Federation of State Medical Boards, where she audited physicians’ qualifications and processed board actions.
Outside of work, Natalie’s life is as dynamic as her career. She volunteers on her city’s 75th anniversary committee, organizes events for her local animal shelter, and is even creating a blind-accessible escape room for a 2025 state convention with the American Council for the Blind. When she’s not volunteering, Natalie enjoys kayaking, exploring flea markets, and spending time with her rescue dog, Lincoln. Her travels with her husband to the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of Galveston, TX, provide the perfect escape.
Something you might not know about Natalie? She’s an accomplished pianist with 11 years of lessons under her belt and once filmed a test pilot for a History Channel show about estate sales. She’s also a collector of mid-century glassware, vintage clothing, and vinyl records—because, as she says, “Music always sounds better on vinyl.”
Natalie’s favorite part of her job is helping new hires navigate challenges and ensuring they’re set up for success. She carries her late grandfather’s wisdom with her every day: “Do one good thing a day. It doesn’t have to be huge, but you never know when it will make a big difference for someone else.”
Natalie’s story is a testament to the dedication and compassion that define Accountable Healthcare. We’re lucky to have her on our team and celebrate her contributions every day.
